Del Norte Hoops Camp 2024 - UPDATED

If you have any questions; please email at

Del Norte Hoops Camp is one of the largest attended camps in North County and has a ratio of no more than ten players to one coach. The Biddy Ball Camps are designed to introduce our youngest athletes to the basics of basketball along with showing them how to have fun while working on their game. Del Norte Hoops “Youth Camp” is designed for players in grades 5 - 8 who are looking to improve their basketball skills and overall knowledge of the game. The week will be filled with different activities that are designed to teach the campers how to play basketball the correct way. The Biddy Ball Camps are 3 hours each day so no lunch is necessary. The Youth Camp is 6 hours each day and campers are responsible for bringing their own lunch. The snack bar will be open during the week and campers will be able to purchase snacks & drinks.

The following information is provided
for you to ensure a most enjoyable camp.  Please feel free to email if you have any questions.

Early Check In:  Date to be announced;  We will host an Early Check In.  We strongly encourage all registered campers to check in on this date and pick up your camp t-shirt.  This will help on the first day of camp in that you will not have to wait in any lines to check in.

Outstanding Balance
:  Any registration that has an outstanding balance due should pay this balance at Early Check In
 by cash or check
.  If this is not possible, the balance must be paid for on the first day of camp.

Camp T-Shirts:  All campers will receive
camp t-shirt
 per camp you registered for
in the size
ordered on your registration form.  If you desire a different size, we will do our best to accommodate after all t-shirts have been issued.  We also hope to have extra t-shirts for sale.  All Campers MUST wear their camp t-shirt everyday to camp (with
exception on Jersey day w
campers can wear any athletic jersey
of their choice

Sunscreen:  Due to medical and legal reasons; we are not authorized to apply sunscreen to any camper.  Please ensure your camper has applied sunscreen prior to arrival.  All campers will spend a minimum of 1 hour on the outdoor courts

Medications:  Any camper that requires medication i.e. an Inhaler, EpiPen, etc. should bring this to the attention of DN Hoops Camp Staff on the first day of camp.  We do screen all registration forms, however it helps to have eyes on the individuals who do require medication of some sort.

Personal Belongings:  Please DO NOT bring a basketball (we have plenty).  Please bring a sports bottle with WATER ONLY.  Be sure it is labeled.  All personal belongings should be secured in a backpack or gym bag of some sort.  Be sure the bag is labeled with name.

Pairing of Friends:  We always do our best to ensure friends are paired in the same group when requested.  However we cannot promise this when forming our 5v5 teams as it can result in very unfair play.

Daily Pick Up of Camper:  We ask that you please respect our time and pick up your camper
promptly at the end of their camp session
.  We do not leave the gym until ALL campers are picked up from inside the gym or in the picnic table area in front of the gym.  We do not allow campers to leave the gym on their own which means all campers MUST be picked up and signed for in or in front of the gym.

- If someone other than the parent/guardian listed on the registration form is authorized to pick up camper; we ask that a list of names and contact information of those authorized to pick up your camper be provided in writing.  Please provide this document at the Early Check In or on the first day of camp.

- If your camper is authorized to walk home, we will require this authorization in writing.  This document should be provided at the Early Check In or first day of camp.

Snack Bar:  We will have a stocked snack bar for the campers during snack break and lunch break.  Most items are $1.00 each.  We will also s
ice-cream at the end of each days session.

Lunch:  All campers participating in the Youth Camps should bring a lunch.  We will have snack items for sale, however a sandwich should be packed so the camper has enough to eat for lunch.

Removal From Camp:  In 15 years of hosting summer camps, we have only had to remove 2 campers from participating in our camps due to very disruptive and extreme negative attitude.  We do everything we possibly can to assist and help campers in having a very positive and enjoyable experience.  However, if we have exhausted all our means to ensure each camper is conducting him/herself appropriately; we do reserve the right to remove any camper from participation of our camps.

What they had to say about last year's camps:

Hey Bob, Just wanted to let you know how great of a time my daughter had at last week's camp. She was eager to go each day and always came home happy. And she even made us get her her own ball by the time the camp was over. So keep up the great work!

Hi Coach Bob, My 6-year-old just finished his first Biddy Ball camp today. He had a great week with his group and his coach, Drew, and a terrific camp experience overall. We loved how the coaches greeted and high-fived all the kids each morning - it created a welcoming atmosphere the entire week and my son was excited to go every morning. Also, thank you for the group photo - loved that, too. Biddy Ball camp was a great experience overall - my son is already asking when he can go back. Thanks for running a great program for the kids!
